Her ten hour trip began with the hauler saying
"we eventually got her on".
Once home she immediatev tried to scale the stall doo
and broke the tirst of manv halters
Eight months later she remained terrified of her world,
combative to pressure, and genuinely unhappy
The cvcle of saddle fitting appointments,
• massage, ulcer treatments.
and more seemed to barelv scratch the surface
and was at
the end ot my rope.
For the first month at Cloud 9 her training looked like sitting,
sitting, and more sitting.
Slowly, I stopped watching the clock
or thinking about when we could go on to the next step.
She would not let me fake
I had to be genuinely present and truly relaxed
Through Cloud 9 I learned what it meant to
work on a ditterent timeline
The milestones became smaller vet infinitely more rewarding
Today, she comes up to me in the tield, ground ties
seeks out the mounting block, lunges at liberty,
trail rides on a loose rein, selt loads into the trailer,
and ran be ridden in a halter
I am trulv gratetul tor Cloud 9 Ranch and the environment that
has been caretully created to help anyone willing to learn how
to truly listen to their horse and create a lasting connection.

Cloud 9 2018 I bought a mare that was impossible to catch in a pasture and
my anxiety toward riding was uncomtortable and uncontrollable
Nancy talked me into coming to a clinic at
her farm to learn about liberty work!
I've been hooked ever since.
That mare is now mv most trusted triend and
the confidence and trust I have in my horses
have grown in leaps and bounds.
The monthly clinics they hold have become one of my most
favorite times to bond with other like minded people
to develop better communication
and skills with our horses
I recommend Cloud Ranch to everyone I can.

An Extremely Talented Horsewoman in her own Right
To Whom it May Concern:
I highly recommend Jordan Faulconer to deal with your
problem warmblood mare.
Jordan is mature well beyond her years, and
is an extremely talented horsewoman in her own right.
I have been very impressed with her natural talent as well as her
capability as a student.
Jordan is also very calm and patient and
would never do anything to take away the dignity from a horse.
She is a wonderful rider, and I
know could handle whatever
situation your horse puts in front of her.

"What I witnessed changed my
entire perception of how to deal with horses"
I sought out Nancy after my farrier suggested I contact her to train one of my boarding client's horses.
This horse had been "rescued" and brought to my farm basically skin and bones.
He spent two years getting fat and sassy and really didn't turn out to be the kids' horse my client was hoping for.
When I approached Nancy, she was very agreeable and within a short time she had an opening for a training horse.
Since she lives within a couple of miles of my farm,
the day after I took him over to her, I went to watch her work Cody.
What I witnessed that day change my entire perception of how to deal with horses.
I had never, in my 30+ years of dealing with horses,
I had never seen anyone be so patient with a horse.
I left in tears, knowing we had sent Cody to exactly the right place.
I was back two days later to watch another training session and knew that I needed Nancy to help me and my 19yr old QH that I'd had since a 4 year old.
My plans for him included low leveling eventing and dressage.
Eight years ago he suffered a horrendous injury and while I
took the time to carefully rehabilitate him and he recovered
beyond my expectations,
I had begun to lose confidence in my abilities and his.
Then I had two rather significant horse related injuries, the last one
2 years ago when Pudden spooked and I came off fracturing 2 ribs.
This, after a significant concussion the year before,
put me in a place of fear.
I loved my horse, but I was terrified of getting hurt.
And that just made matters worse.
I have spent the last four months learning that I have caused all
kinds of issues for my horse.
I have learned that the stories I have told myself to explain my
horse's rude, aggressive, and disrespectful behavior are pure fantasy.
I have had to own a lot of responsibility for his behavior and
Nancy has helped me with this in the kindest way.
She has an incredible ability to help me understand my role in all
of this WITHOUT me getting stuck in the past. And,
the results are amazing and really hard to believe that they have happened so quickly.
I have been teaching at the University level for 25+ years.
Many of my riding instructors over the years have commented
on how difficult a student I am teaching a teacher can be challenging.
I'm not a problem for Nancy; she is so comfortable, confident, and
knowledgeable that I don't threaten or intimidate her.
Her ability to work with the student that shows up is just as good as her ability to work with whatever horse is in front of her.
I have sung her praises so much that one of my boarders has just
recently started working with her. I watched them work yesterday and realized that she is consciously tailoring each lesson to the needs of both the horse and rider.
My challenges aren't hers, so why should the lessons be the same?
I'm envious because this boarder doesn't have near the baggage to
deal with that I do with my horse and the progression she's made in two weeks took me several months!
Nancy is a true professional.
She knows what she's doing and she gets results.
Cody, the horse I sent to her, is now being used as a lesson horse.
You could not have told me that was a possibility 6 months ago!
Pudden, my horse, no longer has "evil ears"
He no longer molests me for treats the entire way back to the barn from the pasture.
He comes to me and all but puts the halter on himself
(I cannot tell you the number of hours I've spent stalking that horse though the pasture the last couple of years).
In addition to the results, Nancy is a professional in her demeanor and teaching style.
She shows up on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to roll.
She's encouraging, clear with her instructions, and able to adapt to the needs of that day.
And this ability to adapt cannot be overstated.
I'm guessing she comes with a general plan, but if either me or Pudden need
something else, then that's what we do.
Linda and Pat, you have put together an amazing program and rest assured,
you are represented very well in our little neck of the woods with Nancy Faulconer.
I have no doubt you have heard many stories similar to mine,
and I thank you for taking the time to read mine.
I'm not sure who's happier I found Nancy, me or Pudden,
but the positive impact she has had on both of us is huge!
May the horse be with you,
